Successful Statements of Excellence in Estate Law & Closely Related Areas

I want to help you get admitted to Law School. Let us seize the high moral ground together as a team!

My service is also distinguished from other law school personal statement services by my humanitarian emphasis. I take the high moral ground, fostering a sense of historical justice through the celebration of diversity. Most of my clients are international students, and I enjoy helping to prepare the leaders of tomorrow in the field of law, people like you who want to make the world a better place. I help you brainstorm ideas free of charge so as to make your long term goals as creative and convincing as possible, helping you to weave the disparate elements of your story together in an eloquent fashion that causes you to stand out from the crowd.

While my PHD is in the area of Religion, I like to think of myself as more of a historian than a theologian. My focus has always been on moral theory and thinking as it relates to politics and international relations; yet, I have always been aware of how all of this invariably takes place on the foundation of Law. It is our legal system and its enforcement that makes moral thinking, dialogue, and, subsequently progress possible.

For the past 30 years, I have labored to stay current on most of the news coming out of the Developing World, Latin America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East. I have studied world religions and cultures extensively for decades. Fluent in Spanish, I am published in that language in the areas of history and gender studies.

The Humanitarian Side of Trust and Estate Law

Humanitarian help can come from many different places.

At the entrance of the refugee camp of Dadaab in northeastern Kenya, the names of all development aid organizations that made the survival of 450,000 Somalis possible are engraved on a wooden plaque: Save the Children, Oxfam, Handicap International: the list is long, and Ikea, the Swedish corporation origin of sales of furniture and household items, was added in 2011.

The Ikea Foundation gave the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) $62 million, to provide food and medical assistance to the refugees and victims of the famine in Dadaab.

UNHCR had never before received a private donation of such a high amount. "We welcome donations from the private sector," says Olivier Delarue, who is responsible for contacts with companies. "We need the private sector in every sense, both individual donations, and companies and wealthy individuals," Delarue said.

UNHCR also received instruction from the Swedish furniture house as to how to efficiently handle a warehouse and what is the best way to package goods for humanitarian aid. The result was positive for all concerned, says Olivier Delarue.

The aid organization Doctors Without Borders (MSF) fund 90% of their missions with private donations. But that money comes mainly from individuals and not corporations or foundations, explained Laurent Sauveur, who is responsible for fundraising for MSF Switzerland.

In 2915, Mark Zuckerberg decided to donate 99% of his shares in Facebook to improve the world for future generations. The total, around 42,300 million euros, isn´t even close to what the rich from Spain donate in total: about 1,300 million.

Hamdi Ulukaya donated $2 million to Kurdish refugees in Syria in 2014. That might not seem like much, but that was actually half his fortune at the time. Why? To support the Kurds.

Naturally, you give what you can give, and for most of us, that´s time and attention. Activists and those that act from their heart and personal passion for the good of humanity and the earth, and going great work, attracting the attention of governments, individuals and companies. Often, they catch our attention just in time to stop terrible things happening.

Take, for example, the recent campaigns to stop the Dakota Access pipeline with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe winning an expanded halt to the pipeline construction.

This is a great example of how people can passionately defend their land, their heritage, and their property. Would you love to help them? There are many ways a trust and estate lawyer can help aid those who wish to donate or use their property for humanitarian means, dedicate their time to humanitarian causes and aid those without shelter. If we can help you on your journey into this field with a personal statement of purpose, please don´t hesitate to get in touch.
